Slocat Group, LLC ("Slocat Group," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to slocatgroup.com and to any consulting service or notification program we operate.

Information we collect
We only collect information we need to deliver the services you ask us for.
- Contact information you give us — name, email address, phone number, and any details you include in a contact form, an engagement letter, or a direct message.
- Mobile information for SMS notifications — if you opt in to our SMS notifications program, we collect the mobile phone number you provide, the consent text presented to you, the timestamp of your consent, your IP address, and your browser user agent. This information is held to demonstrate compliance with carrier and CTIA messaging rules.
- Project and engagement data — information you share with us in the course of a consulting engagement, including access credentials you choose to provide for systems we are integrating on your behalf. We use this only for the engagement and dispose of it when the engagement ends, unless you ask us to retain it.
- Server logs — our web server records standard access information (IP address, request URL, user agent, timestamp) for security and operational purposes.
How we use information
- To deliver the consulting services you have engaged us for.
- To send the SMS, email, or other notifications you have opted in to receive.
- To respond to inbound contact form submissions, emails, and calls.
- To operate, secure, and improve slocatgroup.com.
- To comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
SMS notifications — mobile information handling
If you opt in to Slocat Group SMS notifications, the following terms apply specifically to your mobile information.
SMS messages are delivered through Twilio Inc., our messaging service provider, who acts as our subcontractor for message transmission. Twilio receives the minimum information necessary to deliver each message (recipient phone number, message body, sender identifier).
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You may also reply HELP for assistance. Standard message and data rates may apply.
For full details on the SMS program, including message types, frequency, and the consent statement, see our SMS Notifications page.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only:
- With service providers and subcontractors who support our operations (for example, our SMS provider, hosting provider, and accounting tools), under contract terms that limit their use of the information to delivering those services.
- When you direct us to do so as part of an engagement (for example, when integrating with a third-party system you have authorized).
- When required by law, including in response to valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
- In a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. SMS consent records are retained for the duration of your enrollment plus seven (7) years to demonstrate compliance with messaging rules. Engagement project data is disposed of at the end of the engagement unless you instruct us in writing to retain it.
Your choices
- SMS — reply STOP to any message to opt out, or email [email protected].
- Email — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us directly.
- Access, correction, deletion — email us with your request. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever suffer a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
Children
Slocat Group services are intended for use by businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated through slocatgroup.com or by direct notice if you have an active engagement or SMS subscription.
