1. Where Riley lives
Every customer gets their own private Riley: a separate, walled-off workspace on Slocat's servers in the United States, with its own memory, settings and chat history. It is never shared with other customers. Nothing is installed on your computer. You reach her in your web browser, and on Riley Pro you can also message her on Telegram if you turn that on. Riley is for adults 18 and older.
2. What she can reach
Only what you connect: your email (Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, Zoho) and your Google Calendar. She never signs into websites and never buys anything. She shows you every email before it goes to anyone else. The keys that let her into your email and calendar are stored on Slocat's server so she can work while you're away. You can cut her off at any time from your Google account's security settings, or by deleting the app password you gave her for other email.
3. Who else touches your information
- The AI that does the thinking. Your conversation goes to a reputable AI provider (such as OpenAI) through the OpenRouter routing service. Under their business terms, the provider doesn't train its AI on your conversation and deletes it within 30 days. OpenRouter itself doesn't keep your conversation, only usage counts such as size and cost.
- Voice. What you say is turned into text on Slocat's own server. What Riley says aloud is turned into speech by Microsoft's text-to-speech service.
- Making pictures (Riley Pro). When you ask Riley to make a picture, your request goes to Google's Gemini picture service through OpenRouter. Google doesn't use it to train its AI, but may keep the request and the picture for up to 55 days to check for abuse. The picture itself is saved in your own Riley.
- Look-ups. Search words go to Brave Search. Picture searches go to Brave, Openverse and Wikimedia. Your weather location goes to Open-Meteo.
- Sign-in and billing. Your sign-in email is kept by Supabase, our sign-in service. Payments run through Stripe, and Slocat never sees your card number.
- Telegram (Riley Pro, only if you turn it on). Messages you send her there pass through Telegram.
- Slocat's team. We look inside your Riley only to keep her running, to fix a problem, or when you ask for help. When Riley can't do something you asked, she writes a short note about the request so we can close the gap, and our team reads those notes. We count how much you use Riley to run your plan. We don't read your conversations to do that.
4. How long we keep it
The chat window on your phone or computer keeps its own copy of your recent messages. On our server, your conversations are erased automatically after 90 days. Her memory of you (the notes that let her know your people and how you like things) and anything you've saved stays until you delete it. Our backups are encrypted before they leave our servers and stored off-site, and they roll off after about five weeks, so an erased conversation is gone from the backups too within about five weeks.
5. Deleting your data
You can download your chats any time with Export chat. To have your Riley erased, email privacy@slocatgroup.com: we permanently erase your workspace, memory, chat history and email and calendar keys, and email you when it's done. After you cancel, we hold your Riley for 30 days in case you come back, then erase it for good. Billing records stay with Stripe, as the law requires.
